1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, downloading our app, or using our services, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by the terms and conditions of these Terms of Use.
2. Description of Services
TailsAI provides a pet wellness platform that allows users to manage their pets' health records, book appointments with veterinary and grooming professionals, participate in the TailCoins reward program, and purchase pet-related products through our marketplace.
3. User Accounts
To use most features of our service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. AI and Medical Triage Disclaimer
The automated AI tools provided on the TailsAI platform are intended for informational, educational, and simulation purposes only. They do not provide clinical medical diagnoses or replace the professional judgment of a registered veterinary practitioner. Always consult a qualified veterinarian regarding your pet's health and medical conditions.
5. Veterinary Tele-Triage Consultations
TailsAI provides a platform that connects pet parents with Registered Veterinary Practitioners (RVPs) for remote video, voice, or chat tele-triage consultations. By booking a consultation, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
- Triage and Guidance Only: Remote consultations are strictly for tele-triage, second opinions, and general wellness guidance. Because the RVP cannot perform physical clinical examinations, diagnostic palpations, or run diagnostic tests (such as blood panels, X-rays, or urinalysis), a remote session cannot replace an in-person veterinary exam.
- Mandatory Informed Consent: You must read and explicitly accept the 3-step Informed Consent overlay (covering emergency warnings, prescription restrictions, and data-sharing consents) before commencing any virtual consult.
- In-Call Clinical Escalation: If, in the clinical judgment of the participating RVP, your pet requires physical tests, immediate treatment, or in-person monitoring, the RVP may trigger an in-person clinical escalation. In such cases:
- The virtual consultation fee is not refunded, paused, or waived.
- The active video/chat call will not automatically terminate; it remains open so you can continue speaking with the vet to get advice on safe transport and immediate stabilization until either party manually ends the call.
- Upon call termination, the application will direct you to the "Find Provider" directory to locate a physical veterinary clinic near you.
- Strict Prescription Restrictions: Under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and VCI guidelines, RVPs are strictly prohibited from prescribing controlled substances, heavy antibiotics, sedatives, or restricted Schedule H, H1, and X medications during virtual sessions. Only general care supplements, OTC wellness products, or basic nutritional support may be suggested.
- Data Sharing under DPDP Act, 2023: In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you explicitly authorize TailsAI to collect, process, and share your pet's historical health logs, activities, and consult video feeds with the assigned RVP for clinical purposes.
6. TailCoins Program
TailCoins are loyalty points linked to your pet's profile. They hold no cash value outside of the TailsAI ecosystem and cannot be exchanged for fiat currency. We reserve the right to modify the earning rules, redemption ratios, or to suspend the program in cases of suspected fraud.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Tail Tribe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the services.
